Effect: Blocks the generative AI features covered by Firefox AI Controls, removes their entry points and promotions, and blocks future covered features by default.
Does not affect: It does not block AI websites, third-party search engines, traditional ML features, or extensions that independently call external AI services.

Effect: Disables the chosen feature, removes its entry points and prompts, and removes a downloaded on-device model when applicable.

Edge lets users hide Copilot entry points and restrict browsing context. Managed environments have additional policies, but these controls do not represent a browser-wide AI switch.
Hiding Copilot is different from stopping page and history access. Review both controls.

Effect: Removes the Copilot toolbar entry point from Edge.
Does not affect: This does not by itself revoke page-context access, clear Copilot history, or disable other Edge AI features.

Safari-related summaries and writing tools are primarily controlled through the operating system's Apple Intelligence setting, not a Safari-only switch.
This is a system-wide change that affects Apple Intelligence features across supported apps, not only Safari.
System Settings / Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri → Turn off Apple Intelligence
Effect: Turns off Apple Intelligence features on the device and removes downloaded on-device models.
Does not affect: It does not block AI websites, third-party extensions, or every traditional machine-learning feature in Safari and macOS.

Brave lets users disable Leo entry points and clear locally stored Leo data. This is a Leo-specific control, not a global switch for every AI-related browser behavior.
Disabling Leo does not block AI websites, extensions, or search-engine AI results.

Effect: Turns off DuckDuckGo Search Assist and Duck.ai for that search experience and filters AI-generated images by default.
